Tel Aviv-based creative lighting design studio LEAD founded by Omer Israeli and Dor Aichner – produced an eye-popping, sculptural lighting design concept for the Israeli tech company Mobileye’s 2025 Purim party event, staged in Pavilion 2 at the Tel Aviv Expo, produced by production specialist ThisPlay and designed by Shlomi Ilani.

Aligning a special 7-night cruise with the finale of the world-famous Sanremo Music Festival – which chooses Italy’s Eurovision pick each year – Costa Cruises and Carnival Maritime commissioned a massive lighting installation aboard its “Costa Toscana” ship which was moored approximately 1 kilometre out of Sanremo’s harbour for the Saturday night music extravaganza.

Nashville – well known as a vibrant and major hub for the production and live entertainment industry – staged its own superlative concert – “Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” – at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park to celebrate the new year rollover, featuring an impressive artist lineup and an eye-popping lighting and production design created by Robert W. The Closing Ceremony of the 2024 WorldSkills Competition was staged in the 60,000-capacity Parc Olympique Lyonnais (OL Stadium) at the Eurexpo complex, Lyon, France, with Paris-based creative agency Concept K providing full scenography, lighting design, laser effects, video and art direction plus show calling.

Lighting designer Andre Beekmans from design studio The Art of Light buckled up for some hardcore techno rave action with legendary band Scooter on their “Thirty Rough & Dirty” tour celebrating 30 years of success, innovation, energy and larging it at the cutting edge of dance music!

In 2024, rockers 311 from Omaha, Nebraska, celebrate 34 years at the cutting edge of underground cool as one of America’s most acclaimed and popular indie bands with a massive ‘cult following’, a phenom celebrated biennially with a ‘311 Day’ concert event … 2 nights of unapologetic 311-core music! Since 2018, this has been staged at The Park Theater at Park MGM, Las Vegas.

The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) was staged in Malmo Arena, Sweden, and was memorable for many elements including a superlative technical presentation which took the show production aspect of one of the largest and most-watched live music broadcasts in the world to new levels of excellence.

Slovenian writer, actor and TV personality Lado Bizovicar presented the 2024 “Slovenska Muska” extravaganza event, staged at Ljubljana’s Stožice arena, the first time in the venue’s history that a 360-degree show had been presented, which bumped up the capacity to 13,000, with every seat sold.

Robe Lighting enjoyed another year as production lighting supplier of the TPi Awards 2024, staged at Evolution in Battersea, London, UK, supplying over 200 lighting fixtures to the event that were used to realise a stunning lighting scheme for TPi Magazine, part of Mondiale Media.

Bogotá’s Movistar Arena staged the 2023 Red Bull Batalla World Final, celebrating the creativity, importance, and popularity of freestyle rap culture in Spanish-speaking communities. The event was fully loaded with energy and excitement and lit by Madrid, Spain-based lighting designer Edu Valverde from design studio Experiencias Visuales.

Renowned trance music festival Transmission transposed to the Gelredome in Arnhem in The Netherlands for the first time, presenting its newest “Elysium” show concept at the end of 2023 and keeping the winning international production and supply teams that have helped make the event such a success in its native Czech Republic and globally.

‘The Need for Speed’ – the ability to work fast and sometimes furiously – “is imperative” explains lighting designer Tom Kenny referring to the 2023 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina event staged at the Kaseya Arena in Miami, Florida, in conjunction with LPS Production.

The 2023 Lollapalooza Berlin event at Olympiapark in the heart of the city was notable for a sizzling artist lineup as well as being a major Robe moving light installation, with almost 500 Robe fixtures – over 75 on the Alternative Stage, over 125 on Main Stage North and over 250 on Main Stage South, plus some on Perry’s stage.

Spain’s Medusa festival offers a sizzling DJ line up from all around the world embracing a lively mix of dance genres in a fantastic seaside location at Cullera beach in Valencia by the mouth of the Jucar River. The 2023 event was enjoyed by over 250,000 people across 6 days of sun, smiles and superlative music.

Robe moving lights were used in three major locations for the massive 2023 St. Stephen's Day celebrations in Budapest, Hungary, a public holiday celebrating the foundation of the Hungarian state more than 1000 years ago, which this year attracted over 1.5 million spectators to the banks of the Danube River watch the main large format projection and drone show.

The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) – the largest multi-sport event for young athletes aged 14 to 18 – came to Maribor, beautiful Slovenia’s second city this year.

Production and rental company For Live supplied lighting for multiple stages across five halls of Amsterdam’s RAI for the 2023 World Gymnaestrada – a quadrennial global non-competitive gymnastics extravaganza – organised by TIG Sports, with all-Robe moving lighting rigs installed in Halls 11 and 12 which were also utilised for special shows.

Hungary’s Sziget Festival celebrated 30 years in 2023 earning its place as one of Europe’s largest, most popular and diverse music and cultural festivals which is staged annually in August on Óbudai-sziget ("Old Buda Island"), a fantastic leafy green 108-hectare island on the Danube just a stone’s throw from central Budapest.

Colours of Ostrava is the Czech Republic’s largest and most eclectic music festival, currently staged against the imposing backdrop of old blast furnaces, cooling towers, ore cauldrons, casting shops and other enormous industrial relics from the amazing Dolní Oblast Vitkovice (DOV) steelworks in Ostrava, the country’s third biggest city.

It delighted fans and was staged in a purpose-built 5000 capacity pavilion in Langley Park, ensconced amid a ‘cybersonic Garden of Eden’ uniting nature and technology!

Andre Beekmans and a talented team from his Eindhoven, Netherlands based design studio, The Art of Light, created a stunning lighting scheme for the 2022 Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF) a one-day electronic music extravaganza of epic proportions produced by ALDA and staged at the Johan Cruijff Arena as part of the 2022 Amsterdam Music Event (AME).
